Most Improved Player (Nomination open to ALL team members)
This player has made a personal commitment to get better with each day of the season. His commitment actually shows in his notable improvement from the beginning of the season.
Rising Star Player (Nominations open to ALL team members)
Without a doubt, here is a future playmaker. This athlete makes everybody play better, because he sets a high standard for himself on the pitch. More than just a game-day hero, he has a strong work-ethic, and his effort shows in training.
Offensive Player of the Year (Nomination open to VARSITY team members, including double-rostered)
This award has less to do with stats and more to do with consistent contribution to the team’s attacking efforts. He plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the offensive efforts by creating opportunities through off-the-ball movements, his ability to counter-the-counter by winning the ball back, consistently accurate support passing, effective penetration, and shooting.
Defensive Player of the Year (Nomination open to VARSITY team members, including double-rostered)) This player has the confidence of his teammates that when under attack, he will win the ball. He recovers to his position with haste, and effectively contains or tackles his attacking opponent. A hallmark of excellence is the 150% effort he gives during training and competition.
